The selective catalytic reduction is suitable for the after-treatment of NOX emissions from diesel engines. Urea is introduced as a reducing agent at the front end of the SCR catalyst. After the urea is hydrolyzed to NH3, the NO and NO2 in the exhaust gas are reduced to N2.

Composition:

The selective catalytic reduction catalyst is a combination of metal or ceramic carrier, vanadium-based, manganese-based, rare earth chloride, molecular sieve, or titanium dioxide.
