DOC Catalytic Converter

Diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) technology controls the emissions of hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) from diesel vehicles, and is one of the most reliable methods to reduce diesel particulate emissions.


Oxidation-type catalytic converter is abbreviated as DOC. DOC catalytic converter is installed in the exhaust pipe of the engine. It is an early product in catalytic converter technology. The structure of DOC is basically the same as the three-way catalytic converter, except that the catalyst coating is different and only has the oxidizing ability.

Our diesel oxidation catalyst uses cordierite as the raw material, the raw material is shaped, and then it is fired to synthesize cordierite. The DOC channel is unobstructed, the exhaust gas can flow smoothly, and the HC, CO, and PM are rapidly oxidized under the action of the catalyst (precious metal), which effectively reduces the emission of harmful substances and meets the emission standard.

Applications of DOC Catalytic Converter:

DOC has excellent performance in city buses, light-duty buses, medium-duty trucks and heavy-duty trucks, and is currently used in tens of thousands of modified vehicles worldwide.

• The DOC is installed upstream of the DPF. Its main function is to convert the hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust gas and the soluble organic matter and carbon particulate matter in the particulate matter (PM) into harmless water (H2O) through oxidation reaction. ) And carbon dioxide (CO2).
• DOC or as the front stage of the SCR catalyst oxidizes nitric oxide (NO) to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) to increase the performance of the SCR catalyst.
• DOC also oxidizes (burns) the hydrocarbons (diesel) injected into the DOC to provide a high temperature environment for DPF regeneration.
• The soluble organic components (SOF) polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and oxygen (O2) in the carbon monoxide (CO) hydrocarbons (HC) particles in the exhaust gas are oxidized in the DOC and converted into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) .
