Instructions for Use:

1. Choice of aperture:
Ductile iron filtration: general pore size is 10~15PPI
Grey Iron/Copper Filtration: Typical pore size is 10, 15, or 20 PPI

2. Filtration requirements:
The filtration volume per unit area of ​​the filter generally does not exceed: gray iron: 4kg/cm2, ductile iron: 2kg/cm2

3. Filter area requirements:
In order to prevent the molten metal from directly impacting the filter, the cross-section of the runner where the filter is placed should be appropriately enlarged, generally 2 to 4 times that of the normal runner cross-section.
For example, when directly impacting the filter, the pouring height should preferably not exceed 300mm.

The foam ceramic filter can be placed in various parts of the gating system, as close as possible to the inner gate, so as to maximize the filtering and purification effect; due to the blocking effect of the filter and the gradual blockage of some air holes, the filter is required to be cut off.
